Are You Ready to Pitch TV Network Execs Face-to-Face?
Congratulations! You have an idea for a TV show. You may be just starting out and haven’t put anything down on paper yet.
Or you may have put together elements of your pitch package like a treatment, script and sizzle reel.
And some of you have pitched your show and not gotten any bites yet.
What you all have in common is the desire to sell your show and do that you’ll need to pitch decision makers.
You’re confident you’ve got something great. But how do you get in front of the right network executives to pitch your show?
That’s the dilemma faced by so many talented TV show creators. And it can be a real dream-stopper!
Why? Because you’re more than likely to run into Hollywood’s notorious Catch 22: you can’t pitch a TV concept without having an agent – but you can’t get an agent until a network wants your show!
Nevertheless, executives are always looking for new hit shows. They need to keep and grow their audience share … and developing new shows is a key to their future success.
Bottom line: they need you, but don’t have the time and energy to find you.
So how do you get in front of the TV executives you want to pitch? It can be tricky. That’s why we created our Hit Maker Tour! It prepares you to personally attend one or more major TV conferences coming up in the months ahead. There, at those conferences, you can find and pitch the right network executives for your show concept.
And most significant of all – you don’t need an agent!
The Hit Maker Tour Opens Doors to Pitching Targeted Decision-Makers
The Hit Maker Tour gives you priceless connections with top network and production company execs at private meetings we host. You’ll also gain insider knowledge on how to pitch when you’re ready, what you’ll need in your pitch package, and how to get additional meetings with the network execs you want to reach. And that’s just for starters.
We want you to succeed – in a big way! So we put considerable attention to what matters most: how to have a successful pitch meeting.
Through working with our team you’ll discover…
- What you need to know about the flow of a pitch meeting
- What executives expect of you
- The right terminology to use
- How to develop a powerful pitch mindset
- Exactly what to say to create the most positive impact
In fact, we devote our last virtual training session together entirely to pitch practice.
Susan Wasted $125,000!
You may be thinking… “What if my show is ready to pitch? I don’t think need the Pitch Perfect Program?” We hear that a lot. Unfortunately, despite your best efforts, it’s usually not true.
Take Susan, for example. She spent $125,000 on a pitch package for her pre-school animation. Yet when she pitched it, there was no interest at all. She felt angry and taken advantage of. After licking her wounds she came to us, re-developed it with our team, and hired our sister company to do the character design. Now she has interest from several buyers, including Sprout/NBC.
What was Susan’s mistake? Sometimes you just don’t know what you don’t know. But we did. And our insights made all the difference for her. That’s the power of our Pitch Perfect Program.
Remember, just ONE idea for a killer title, just ONE new unexpected twist for a character, just ONE new way to promote your show that you hadn’t considered, or ONE fresh way to format a show or your entire series could pay you back many times over. this modest investment and help you to SELL YOUR SHOW.
I’m not an accountant, but it’s likely that this expense will be tax-deductible for you. Don’t give the money to Uncle Sam to fritter away. Invest the money in something you love today!
Through your development sessions and material reviews, you’ll be guided and supported in creating and fine-tuning the actual blueprint – or Treatment – for your show. And we make sure it’s delivered in the style, format and structure today’s top executives expect.
That alone puts you far ahead of the game. Because off-target or poorly developed treatments are tossed with barely a glance. Their lack of professionalism keeps even the brightest of concepts from being read, let alone considered.

HIT MAKER TOUR FAQs
Q: How do I find out if my show is ready to pitch at a conference?
A: You’re welcome to schedule a complimentary strategy session with Jeanne Simon, co-founder of Sell Your TV Concept Now, to talk through what you’ve done so far on your show and the steps you’ll need to take to get it ready to pitch. Call Denyse at 407-351-0893 or email her at email@example.com to set up your complimentary strategy session.
Q: Should I go on the Hit Maker Tour if I’m not ready to pitch my show and I just want to find out how the conferences work and make connections?
A: YES! The Tour is for you if you want to maximize your conference investment. On the Tour you’ll make priceless connections with top network and production company execs at private meetings we host. Plus, you’ll gain insider knowledge on how to pitch when you’re ready, what you’ll need in your pitch package, and how to get meetings with the network execs you want to target….plus much more.
Q :Does Sell Your TV Concept Now act as my agent?
A: No we are not agents. We do not pitch shows for others because we know show creators are absolutely the best people to pitch their shows. Only you have the passion for your show that it takes to get a buyer interested. Plus, agents work on commission and get a percentage of your earnings. When you work with us you retain 100% ownership of your show and your earnings.
Q: I’ve heard you have to have a pilot. How do I find out what I need to pitch my show?
A: First of all – YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRODUCE A PILOT. It is a very expensive waste of time and money. You’re welcome to schedule a complimentary strategy session with Jeanne Simon, co-founder of Sell Your TV Concept Now, to find out exactly what you need to pitch your show. Call Denyse at 407-351-0893 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up your complimentary strategy session.
Q: How many people do you take on the Hit Maker Tour?
A: We limit the number to twenty attendees per conference to ensure you get the time and attention you need from your on-site Hit Maker Tour mentor.
Q: How do I pitch more than one show?
A: One at a time. (Ha…bet you already knew that!) We go over pitching multiple shows to the same buyer in the Hit Maker Tour training. It not only can be done (even in a speed pitch) we recommend pitching two or more shows to a conference to further maximize your investment.
Q: How many shows can I work on in the Hit Maker Tour?
A: You may work on one show. In other words, you’ll submit the same show for both material reviews. You may purchase additional material reviews for your other shows.
Q: Do you ever partner with people for a percentage of a deal?
A: No, we do not partner with you because it is not in your best interest. We want you to own 100% of your show and keep any deals you make with a network as simple as possible. Complicated partnerships scare off networks for fear of possible lawsuits or issues between partners.
Q: What if I’m very confident about my TV concept, but I have no idea what to say in a pitch?
A: A big part of Hit Maker Tour training is about how to have a successful pitch meeting: the flow of a pitch meeting, what execs expect of you, the right terminology to use, developing a powerful pitch mindset, and what to say exactly in your pitch. The last virtual training session is entirely devoted to pitch practice for our members. When you work with us you will know what to say in your pitch.
Q: I’ve heard conferences are a waste of time because no real decision makers attend…Is that true?
A: Chris Linn, president of truTV, would be shocked to hear that along with all of the other senior level network execs who make it a priority to go to multiple conferences every year. They and their teams go to conferences to take pitches from people like you, network with their peers, finalize deals, and to stay on top of the latest trends in the TV biz.
Q: How do I get pitch meetings at conferences?
A: Most conferences have speed pitching sessions you sign up for once you’re registered and when you’re part of our Hit Maker Tour you’ll make priceless connections with top network and production company execs at private meetings we host. You’ll definitely want to take advantage of our FAST-ACTING BONUS to gain access to a closed door session we have the night before each conference. You’ll get to practice your pitch and get feedback from top network and production company execs.
Q: Can I pay you to pitch my show?
A: No. We do not pitch shows for others because we know show creators are absolutely the best people to pitch their shows. Only you have the passion for your show that it takes to get a buyer interested.
Q: Is the registration fee for the conference included in the fee for the Hit Maker Tour?
A: You pay separately for the conference registration fee and all travel expenses. They are not included in the Hit Maker Tour fee.
